RE: Where Are The Wannabe's Now?

Our RV is parked in the drive next to the house. DW is slowly disposing of all the accumulative thing that will not be going with us. I.E. came home and living room set was gone. We are curently makeing the house nice nice so it will sell in these tight times. Fingers are crossed for April of '09.

RE: Sleep Number bed?

This is a long shot, but could it be you have a full size queen matress cover set up and have a short queen bladder inside of it? Watched the one in home assemblied, full queen, 3in X 6in thick heavy foam around the edges of bed and running down the center seperating the two bladders. The bladders filled all the space between the foam pieces.

RE: As-Is

Had a Car Dealer make me sign a 'no hidden defects' on a trade in, with up to $1000.00 come back to me for repairs needed. I said only if needed for state inspection and not caused by buyers neglect, written in.

RE: How do I overcome the nighttime crazies?

Besides all the things to see in the US of A, the stastic that 85% of us live and die within 25 miles of where we were born made up my mind to go.

RE: In Dash TV Removal/Replacement

Nice job, trying to figure out how to do mine. Our Discovery has an upholstered box that is the same as dash in the overhead. Looks like I'll need some professonal help.

RE: New Jersey MH length restrictions??

Diesel you get to pump yourself. Have seen it both way at Flying J in Penns Grove NJ, at RV islands. Seems weird that New Jersey stations have to pay someone to pump yet have less expensive products compared to PA and NY.

RE: Fueling up at Flying J

I'm sure you all know that in Mapquest at the top of the page is a check fuel prices tab. If you click on this you get to a page where you can plug in your Zipcode and select either gas or deisel. It will show you on a map places and prices. I found a local station that services construction vehicles so access is easy. They are .10 cents cheaper then the Flying J at the bottom of the Jersey turnpike.
I admit that in transit I will go for the Flying J not knowing loccal stations.

RE: Setting a HD as boot drive

CompUSA is still in business in Flordia and Texas if you want to order online.
I like buy.com and surpluscomputers.com. Another good bet is circutcity for less expensive PC stuff right away.

RE: mattress

In the short term we have a 3 inch foam topper. When we go full time we'll move the sleep number to the RV from the house. Have full queen.

RE: Gasoline vs. Diesel prices

Jesse624 is dead on.
Another I believe is the oil companies closing refineries. Two here in south New Jersey. Why pay the high cost to support a refinery when you can buy it ready made in gas and deisel from over seas. Costs more who cares pass it on to the consumer. One other thing I've always wondered about is where is the Oil from Alaska going? Refineries where? Hope I didn't kidnap topic.

RE: Fleetwood Discovery diesel 2003

Hi, my '02 does not need to move any plug for shore or Generator use. I do how ever ensure everything is shut off before coming up on shore power or the generator and I never have both on together. The rods are for your awnings. The folding one is for over the Door. The hooked one is for grabbing hold of the strap hook in the main awning pull down. Which hopefully is sticking out a little. It also helps to flip the toggle in the right end to allow it to unroll. 36 hours should have charged up your batteries unless they are turned off or the charger has been turned off. Previous owner had diconnected solar so can't help there. Still learning my systems. Too

RE: Insurance-from GMAC to AARP/HARTFORD

Quotes from these guys are great till you say "full timer", then watch them drop you. GMAC was the only one that said would insure when going full time.
Have thought about trying Geico again with their advertized renew guarantee.
